IMO, it's the most dramatic moment of the show.

aww poor ryan! I hated him when he first arrived but i grew to love him and his execution was really dramatic.. i felt sorry for Jack because he had to do it.. especially when he cried at the end of the season.

Every time I think of that episode, I think of the Simpsons episode where Homer says "Kill my boss?! Do I dare live out the American dream?!". Lol. For some reason I can see Jack saying that.

Yeah, just like how the guy who played Mason when he said goodbye to his son. That was some pretty good acting.

Yeah, I think that dramatic scenes are well acted by most of the actors who work in 24..I almost jumped inside the TV screen to stop jack and save ryan, even if I hated him at the beginning of the show!

The one scene where he yells "wait" with a tear rolling down his face is amazing stuff.

I liked Ryan from the begining. He was just a high ranking asshole. But he had to be being what his was. I wish he could of been around longer.
An that scene where Jack shoots him was very sad. He was a honorable guy in the long run. And a good guy to.

Poor Ryan. That episode must rank as one of the most harrowing the show ever done. That entire final scene features so many haunting lines like "my legs are shaking" and "there's no one, just the people at work". Just fantastic, it should have won every award going that year for that episode alone.

I didn't like him. There was something arrogant about him.

But I have to say that he didn't deserved it to die in such a way.
