And to differentiate it from the TV series. Otherwise it's a 2 hour season.

You'd thing the movie would be around 2 hours. So that would be 23 hours into 1 hour.

It might be a little rushed, but I'm sure the writer's have thought about this and will find a way to make it work.

Me too.
I can just imagine Jack in a few years once they get more strict on TV swearing (if it happens)

*Jack has just been shot in the arm*
''Oh beans, it seems that I have been injured rather seriously, curse you villain!!''

Yeah, that was pretty funny and weird at the same time.
I can't see Jack not swearing.
Here in Aust. 24 is on at like 11:30pm, they are allowed to have torture, violence, and the rest but no swearing! Weird...

Yeah, I always found that strange to have graphic violence, but no swearing.

There was a game that some people used to play, I saw a video of it on youtube, and for everytime Jack said "damnit" (which he says instead of a swear word) people watching would have to drink a shot.

In a later interview I saw with Kiefer, upon finding out about this, he insisted on saying "damnit, damnit, damnit" quite frequently throughout seasons four and five.

Yes, I saw that. I loved it Very Happy

In a Season 3 deleted scene he actually swore at Erin Driscoll.
''I can find my own f**king job Erin!!''

I loved it, she deserved it aswell, I HATED her.

haha ah what a great game. He doesn't say damnit enough though so we play "Damnit" "Running out of time" and "Not the right play" lol which can get kind of rough in some episodes...

I don't think swearing is really necessary to be honest. They have gotten away with it for so long and really made it work and to add it in now just because they can would just be gratuitous.
With an actor like Kiefer, he puts so much emotion behind the Damnit's and even the SCREW YOU that it really says more than a plain old F bomb would. I don't think a change of the word would really change the emotion behind it.

And I doubt they would ever add nudity, they will definitely keep this movie PG-13 to make it more marketable. And hopefully the action will be so fast paced in this that there wont be time to set up a nude scene, unless its Jack taking down a suspect at a strip club...hmm...that could work...

I really hope in the movie he doesn't swear...

I don't swear at all, and some of my friends don't as well.  We don't believe that swearing is necessary...

which makes it so unbelievable to many of my friends when they find out that I watch 24.

"Holy crap (that is a word I use), you watch 24?"
Me: Yah.  Why?
friend: Just seems like the kind of thing you wouldn't watch...it's so violent and they swear and everything.
Me: Bet you didn't know that I take shooting classes too.
friend: What?!  And you're a pacifist?!

I don't really care if you can get away with more swearing in a feature film. I just wouldn't go there. I would have exactly the same tone as seen in the television series. For Jack to use harsher foul language on a regular basis would be out of character.
