It's still bad for the brains. They've been without air a while.
That will damage brain cells or even destroy them.
It can't be repaired by itself and it's not possible with surgery too.

Best way:

Jack is reunited with Audrey and live happily ever after.

But I think the show will have a much more interesting ending.
Where there is a huuuge twist about something that we've ''known'' for a long time (season 1 or 2) and thats where it ends. (Room for a sequel if possible)

I don't think they'd kill him bc they'd have to leave him alive for a hollywood movie. but maybe they'd kill everyone else on the planet...and he wakes up in a house full of mirrors that haunt him.

how about this:

a person who looks like this Darth Vader

chops Jacks arm off with some sort of 'shiny red sword' and while he is lying down in agony this person Darth Vader

walks up to him and says slowly: 'Jack.... I am your daughter!' then Darth Vader

takes of their helmet and too reveal Kim's face which has been horibbly mutilated but then u release she always looked like that. Jack then shouts 'Noooo!' as Darth Vader

lifts her 'shiny red sword' above her head and as she brings it down towards jack the scene ends and u see the silent clock.

please don't hate me too much for this theorie it took me most of the morning to type up.

Interesting idea but how about if Jack dies at the end of this season? In a very unexpected, unexplained way. The next season is about uncovering what happened to Jack and revolves around Renee, Tony + Chloe uncovering the truth. In the final hour of Season 8 you find out Tony was behind it.

Never gonna happen but it'd be kinda cool because you'd never expect Jack to die a season before 24 ends!

Okay maybe not a season but perhaps Jack dies a few episodes before the end? I want Jack's death to be really out of the blue and if it happens in the final hour, I doubt it could ever be out of the blue cos i'll be expecting it.

I dunno, maybe you're right. I just hope that a) Jack dies and b) it's totally in your face, unexpected and leaves you sick to your stomach.

Edit- In retrospect, I will concede letting Jack die right at the end of 24 if instead of getting the silent clock the clock just stops altogether on 11:59:59 because we all know the world cannot survive without Jack Bauer there to protect it.

He would have to have his own motives to go vs. the US though.

What do we think about suicide? How about a resurgence of his heart problem or something? What about Jack being injured and deteriorating or something...? Kinda Solid Snake style, if anyone has ever played MGS?

How about this one. Jack is killed by FBI/Secret Service agents. I could really see that happening. Like in Season 7 when Larry has put out a shoot on sight message out on Jack a similar thing could happen in the last season. Then in the last 5 minutes you see that the person who gave the order is actually working for the bad guys (perhaps the President okays it too just to really rub salt in the wounds)

Now that would be seriously f*cked up

I will like the show to end with Kim and Jack waking into the sun. Also have him have a family again with kids and have him die any old men with his family by his side.

Myself Glennwaugh I showed your post I think there are happen something new
That one guy didn't want to push him too hard cause they were afraid he
would die then they wouldn't get the info they needed, but the other guy wanted the info right now because his boss was impatient.
