Mason and Chapelle weren't assholes.

They follow the protocols more closer.

But you get to see what type of person both of them are and realize they aren't assholes.

Mason and Chapelle might have been jerks, but they stepped up to the plate when it counted. (Yes, Lynn did too, but it was his fault in the first place, so he was really just evening the score)

Maybe not Mason but Chapelle was definitely one hated idiot. And I'm not questioning their bravery. I'm just saying that hated people on the show find their death sooner or late. But then again so does everybody else...

Yeah but if her daughter wouldnt have died, she woulnt have resigned, Michelle woulndn't have come to CTU and Tony and Michelle would never have got remarried.

Not true, he would have still gone on the undercover mission with Ramon Salazzar and would still have been fired by Driscoll and taken the job at DOD with Audrey. Plus, she's the Secretary of Defense's daughter so Jack would have met her at some point.

Or maybe he would have. He was the first to admit that his marriage sucked. He slept with Nina! So I'm sure that by that point if he wasn't divorced, he might have been with her anyways.

You're going through the wrong direction.
His marriage sucked not because he didn't love Terri enough. It was his job. The same thing happened with Kate Warner, Kim Bauer and Chase and probably Jack with Audrey.
You can't seriously say that Jack loved Audrey more than Terri...

I think if Teri had lived Jack would not have gone back to work for CTU so there would have been no season 2, his marriage may have been going through a rough patch but everything that happened in season one made him realize how much he loved his family, and he wouldnt want to put them in jeopardy again.

No, maybe he would have just packed the family up and left, like he wanted to do initially in S2 with Kim. Or, maybe he never would have known about it. Remember when tony woke up in the CTU medical in S5, and Bill couldn't technically tell him any info on what was going on because he no longer worked for them?

It was different with Jack.
He didn't call them, they called him and he didn't wanna got. Palmer himself had to comvince him so probably, yes, he would have come back but altleast Kim aouldn't have gone into all the trouble in the woods and then the supermarket...
