Post your top 7 of '24' seasons here. I'll start.
1 - season 3 (great season with Chase as a great sidekick)
2 - season 1 (still one of the best, probably because it was personal!)
3 - season 2 (some really great plottwists and also very personal)
4 - season 7 (I don't like the Tony twist, but still a very good season)
5 - season 5 (Good season with a shocking beginning)
6 - season 4 (Good season with a great ending!)
7 - season 6 (not as good as the rest, but still very entertaining) |

1 season 5, cuz it was my first and turned me on to the show
2 season 6, because it continued from 5 and really upped the ante for me, since i hadn't seen the others yet
3 season 2, because it had complexity and really let u know how thick things could get
4 season 3, the most harrowing on a personal level for Jack AND for me, though i could almost switch it with season 2
5 season 4, quite exciting, and put season 5 in context, since i had watched 5 "bllind"
6 season 1, yes, the most personal, but the least costly for the country as a whole, except that We the People would have been robbed of a proper choice in the Presidential election if David Palmer had been killed (and robbed of a great President for the next 2 seasons)
7 season 7, tho it would probably place above season 1 because of the greater implications for the whole country, which have yet to be seen. i'll revise the list after the season is over.
also, i'm intrigued by the possibilities for season 8, and will revise yet again after it begins (maybe before it concludes even!)

season 3 ( jack actually starting a prison riot, classic! ... and saunders; great arch villian for jack)
season 4 ( the araz family ; the missile launch, chloe filling fools upwith lead)
season 2 ( mason was awesome, redeemed himslf from S1 ; the bride(marie w.) being the actual terrorist, i know fooled everybody)
season 7 ( it's been so awesome sop far. the starkwood VS US was crazy!)
season 1 ( the beginning of the end for jack)
season 5 ( great season, great cliffhanger at the end)
season 6 ( loved gredenko & fayed. but the "uncle jack" screaming nephew & "daddy issues" got old)
i only put season 1 low down the rankings, cause the main plot hardly ever changed from how the first episode started. the whole time it was abaout assassinating palmer, and jack saving his family. |

Season 3 - Definitely the most intense, with loads of twists.
Season 1 - Very personal and frustrating for Jack. And Nina Myers!
Season 2 - It just got more and more intense towards the ending.
Season 6 - I liked the issues inside the white house.
Season 7 - Great so far, refreshing, i liked a lot where Jack was being chased by everyone, even their own people.
Season 5 - Shocking season with a brutal ending.
Season 4 - It was kind of like a second chance for Jack that got messed up. (Im talking about his live not the season of course)
Every season has been great in my opinion. |

Series 1 - The original is still the best for me. It was elaborate, but at the same time contained, with no nuclear bombs or bio-chemical weapons etc.
Series 4 - Plot-wise it was simply and was essentially one terrorist setpiece after another, which i thought was refreshing after series 3 with it's messy plot. Tony was excellent in it, and obviously Michelle as well. I love the character interplays and relationship dynamics.
Series 7 - As things stand at the moment, and this may change as the rest of this series unfolds, 7 is my 3rd favourite. i find myself getting really excited every Tuesday when a stream for the latest episode goes up (in the UK we're an episode behind). it's also the first series since the 2nd one where ive watched it on TV week on week, as from 3-6 i saw it for the first time on DVD cos i didnt have Sky at the time. i think that anticipation gets me more excited. Tony's return has been great, although the details of how he survived are stupid. but im willing to forgive that. everything from then on has been really good. Larry and Renne have been excellent, and President Taylor, despite my initial reservations about her seeming 'over-the-top' idealism, has also gone up in my estimation. Currently, the series is treading water, with the 'Tony-is-bad?' story arc. how this series stands overall depends on what comes of this.
Series 5 - Logan was brilliantly acted by Gregory Itzin. I wasnt sure about the whole 'the US President is the villain!' idea at first, but looking at the technical bits, that he was a puppet who was both powerless and power hungry, it makes sense. Mike Novick as ever, is great. it was a real pity to have so many popular characters killed off. the scene with Wayne and Jack in Palmer's apartment where he was shot was really powerful. i really liked that.
Series 2 - Initially i hated this series, purely because of the Kim sub-story and the idea of things getting really panoramic with nuclear bombs and a potential war with the Middle East, which is massive compared to a senator assassination plot. Over time ive learnt to really enjoy this series, and compared to series' 3 and 6, its actually really great. the death of Yussef (the Middle Eastern agent) had me ranting and raving at the TV, cos i really wanted him to survive and after he died, i really wanted Jack to brutally kill Yussef's killers.
Series 3 - One of my least favourite, purely because of the stupid and over-the-top storyline. Jack having to reinfiltrate the Salazar gang? the Salazar's were pretty stupid to trust him. the 2nd half of the series (after the Salazar's are killed, and when Saunders and Amador appear, are much better. the Tony - Michelle interplays are excellent. and the action sequences were really good. i hated Kim and Chase in this as well. Chase was just a Jack-wannabe and failed miserably. Kim? well, i just dont like these kinds of juvenile and immature characters. in series 1, it i accepted it cos her kidnapping was necessary. i guess im also probably biased because i hated her role in series 2 as well.
Series 6 - The series that shouldnt have happened. after so long in a Chinese prison, there was a massive opportunity to humanise Jack, instead of just presenting him as a superman who saves the world. form the first few hours, the writers managed this, and i especially like the Assad - Jack scene where Jack gives up on the torture and interrogation, only for Assad to go through with it himself and got the answers they needed. but after the nuke went off, Jack was back to normal again. Assad was a great character. pity he died. i also didnt like the way Palmer was back on his feet again so soon after the bomb attack, it was stupid. the fight scene between Fayed and his men was great, and the last few episodes with the Chinese story arc made up for things, but it still ranks as my least favourite series. |

Probably because season one is the cause that most of us are addicted to '24'. And because it's personal, so as a viewer it's easy to relate to everything that's happening. |

1. Season 3
2. Season 1
3. Season 5
4. Season 2
5. Season 4
6. Season 6
Although season 6 was still amazing, it was the worst of all the 24 seasons. It's the worst season of the best show, which really isn't saying much, since all episodes of 24 are amazing, just some better than others.
I'm not gonna rank season 7 yet, we've still got 5 episodes left! For all we know it could get much better, or much worse (lets hope much better ) |

Have only watched Series 5, 6, and all the episodes of 24 (UK) so far, i plan to watch the previous Series one day, maybe in the summer holidays, my order:
Series 5 - The first Series of 24 i watched, found it very interesting and it keeped me hooked.
Series 6 - Was a good Series but with the death of Curtis (Legend), i didn't think it was great.
Series 7 - Has been a great Series so far, and it's getting really interested, i look forward to watching it every Monday. |

I can't do it like this (season 7 is very good but I don't want to put seasons 1 and 2 underneath it), but I can pair seasons up in terms of quality.

Favourite to least favoruite.....
1. Season Five - I believe the fifth season moved the show forward in a significant way, by killing off the classic characters (David Palmer and Michelle, at the time Tony) that had helped shape the show into what it is today. Moreover, Christopher Henderson was a great villian and I absolutely adored Martha Logan (not a surprise, considering I've always thought Jean Smart is an excellent actress). The one big weakness to this season was Julian Sands as Vladimir Bierko. He didn't do a very good job with his character, very mediocre acting compared to the previous villians. To make matters a little worse in that regard, Mark Sheppard as Ivan Erwich was a much better villian...they should have had him rather than Julian Sands in a main role. However, ith its twists and surprising turnsand excellent acting, S5 showed to be superb. Moreover, it also proved to the common viewer that the writers weren't afraid to tread dangerous waters with their fans. Killing off so many favorites in a season could've really tested the viewer's support of the show, but it paid off in the end.
2. Season Two - When you think about it, season two of 24 was extremely simplistic. There were very few plot twists or "shocking" moments (some might call George's death shocking, but a cynical viewer like me wasn't shocked). Despite this, season two is my second favourite season. I'm not sure why, but I enjoy it so very much. The "cyprus recording" plot was excellent, and Yusuf Auda was a solid guest star. Moreover, this season introduced Michelle and George was given a prominent role. George remains an all time favourite of mine, with his hilarious, sarcastic remarks.
3. Season Six - Why do so many hate it? I honestly can't find much to complain about. Fayed was arguably the best villian in the whole series, and the storyline with Assad was very good. Now, obviously the one big complaint people have is the absolute horrible, ugliness of DB Woodside as Wayne Palmer. I don't know. I mean, maybe they wanted Woodside to portray Wayne as a very weak willed president, but he was just bad. Granted, when Wayne returned and was running off adrenaline shots, I thought he was okay, but everything before that was putrid acting. However, other than that, no big complaints about this season. I actually didn't mind the chinese sub-plot. It could've been better, but it was okay. Moreover, Jack's family was a half and half thing for me. Cromwell and McCrane together is automatically a good thing, thus both Graem and Philip Bauer were excellent. However, Josh Bauer was horrendous (how did Evan Ellingson ever get a job acting in such a prominent show?) and Marilyn was just an annoying, overall putrid character. Her husband's just died, and she is making subtle sexual advances torwards Jack that wore thin before it even stared. Those are my only big complaints, for the most part I adored S6 and thought it was very good.
4. Season One - The biggest strength of season one for me was simply its consistency. There wasn't a moment during this season where I was bored with the show, my interest was always at its peak. Michael Massee was a superb guest star and so was Dennis Hopped. Moreover, Nina was cool. Not really much more to add to it.
5. Season Four - Season four was a very up and down season. Its biggest fault was simply the horrendous new characters. Driscoll was boring, Sarah was boring, Audrey was boring, and Edgar was boring. They all were just flat out dull, a complete drop-off from the previous season. The only main addition was Heller, who I wholely enjoyed. Devane is a good actor, I liked his style and the way he took the role. Another fault of the season, which earns its "up and down" badge, was how boring it was in parts. I thought I was going to fall asleep during some episodes, there was NOTHING going on. After the rescue of Heller, everything went into the gutter. The override device is, in my opinion, far and away the worst sub-plot on 24. There was nothing going on, they were just searching for Marwan. This sub-plot ended with absolutely no sense of "rush" either. However, once we got to the EMP detonation, everything went up-hill. The last ten hours or so were very good.
6. Season Three - And here's where I now say "why do people like it so much?" Honestly, Chase was one of, if not the worst prominent characters in 24 history. He was nothing but obnoxious. I was hoping he'd get a bullet to his head half the time. Moreover, Kim also sucked in this season. She had no purpose whatsoever (the only thing she did was disguise herself as Jane Saunders). She was just...there, oh and dating Chase "Imma douchebag" Edmunds. Which reminds me, the whole arguments that transpired between Jack and Chase were droll. Moreover with my complaints with this season, was how bad the opening episodes were garbage. Absolute garbage. The episodes that surrounded Kyle Singer were the worst stretch of episodes on 24 hisotry (even worse than the override device crab in S4) in my opinion. The plot in Mexico was decent though, as was the Saunders plot-line. But for the most part, I cannot stand this season and it remains my least favourite. When I tried re-watching it for a third time, I simply couldn't sit through it...too many long, drawn-out sub-plots that had many moments that were utter droll. Everybody has their opinions, but one I'll never get is why people think this is the best season.
As for S7, I'll judge it at the end of the season. Right now, it's probably third for me. The whole CIP device crap was a little drawn out (even though I like IKE DUBAKU!) but everything from the White House raid and on has been SUPERB. |

I just saw the final 2 episodes and my season list remains the same. Season 7 has turned out even better than expected, but it's still not as good as season 2. So season 7 remains at #4. |

1. Season 7 (Gotta love the Tony twist)
2. Season 3 (Tony's quote to Chloe "I don't have time for your personality
disorder right now!"
3. Season 2 (Many reasons, such as Tony and Jack's lame fight..I think that was season 2...)
4. Season 1 (The original! The Nina storyline, the uncertainty of who is the mole)
5. Season 4 (Loved Tony's big entrance, Jack's "Death")
6. Season 5 (Great story line, but we lost some great characters)
7. Season 6 (Just wasn't the same without Almeida!) |

im happy to say that i can stand by my initial decision:
1
4
7
5
2
3
6
i was fearing the Tony story arc would drag down series 7, but after seeing the finale, it stays where it initially was at the halfway point. |
