O.K. then I got two questions:
1. Why did show only now? He had plenty of time
2. Why did he become a bad guy?

That's the point of Season 7. To answer these questions.

I only said hologram because i was basing it off the Mission Impossible theory. I said the only thing i could see happening relating to that theory is holograms. I know it won't be.

That would be a little much, even for 24, but I can see where you're coming from

Tony's death affected me the most. He was such a beloved character, and after his wife was killed it was unexpected.

I kinda saw it coming. It wasn't so sudden, like Palmer's. The struggle scenes always drag a little and I don't find it a surprise who gets pegged off. Palmer's just came outta freakin' left field.

Henderson was a bad guy, so it wasn't necessarily a matter of if he got killed, but when.

Ha! You're one of those hold-out-to-the-death-stubborn-not-gonna-believe-it people. Lol.

Oh man, I think that would be taking it just a little too far. Lol. Well, I'm sure they came up with a good reason and explanation for Tony. I mean, they did have all that time...

It would be funny if they didn't explain it at all. Tony just says "don't worry about that, it's not important". Smile

They could save the explanation until the season final. But it would have to be a very good reason.

Well, I guess we know now! Although it seems that Tony still has some questions about himself and what happened.

Agreed. It just came out of nowhere. After the event, I was in denial. But it seemed pretty obvious the man was stone cold dead. I kept stewing over it, and began thinking up ways in which he could have lived. I noted the lack of silent clock, especially for a major character like Tony. I had an idea that he was merely put into a deep coma.

Anyway, I was pleased to find out he in fact lived. I think turning Tony into a villain for Season 7 was a master stroke. Pitting Jack against an old friend who anticipates his every move and can play on his emotions more than anyone else.

There were times when I wished Tony was in fact dead! To say that is great, as a villain must be loathed. To see a once good man be consumed by revenge and twisted ideologies, doing what he thinks is justificable and reasonable - thinking Jack is indeed the one who is the villain, being cowardly and weak.

I'd have to say Edgar.  Palmer, Michelle, and Tony's (later on "death") had too much gpoing on, action oriented.

But with Edgar; it was horrible, and sad.  He comes running into the room, with no chance of survival, and, the music cue goes silent; and everyone, especially Cloe; has to stand there and watch him die.

Truly one of the most powerful scenes in 24.
