James Bond 007: The Other J.B.

Anyone a fan of James Bond, British Mi6 agent 007, licenced to kill?

I've got to say, I'm a huge fan. I grew up with Pierce Brosnan in the cinema and Roger Moore on the telly, and now with Casino Royale and the new Bond, Daniel Craig, I'm loving the series more than ever.

Anyone else a fan of the other J.B. out there?

Yep i am ive seen all the movies (but they kinda blur into one lol) i too grew up with Pierce Brosnan so he was always my favourite, i really didnt think i would like the new Blonde Bond, but i was very surprised by Daniel Craig and hes my new fave Bond Very Happy

You'll be pleased to hear the next film, due out November 2008, will be a direct continuation of the storyline. They're planning a series of several films, each ending on a cliffhanger, with a large long-running sub-plot connecting the action...

...sound familiar?

If only Bond were owned by FOX, we could do a crossover!

His initial contract said he'd do three films (including CASINO ROYALE) with the option of staying further if he or the studio wanted it. I think the trilogy is planned out already... but I've heard Craig say he's having so much fun that he'd love to stay as long as they'll have him.

But then, Brosnan said that, and he was very badly treated after DIE ANOTHER DAY. He found out he wasn't Bond anymore when he turned on the news and saw Daniel Craig in a press conference saying he was the new Bond.

Ouch.

Yeah thats gotta hurt, i was gutted when Pierce wasnt doing anymore, but i hope Daniel can do lots more, hes deff. built for the part of Bond Very Happy

Certainly beats Halle Berry anyday...!

Although I have to say, Pierce Brosnan was very, very sexy... I don't know, I can't decide which one I prefer!

I really like Bond movies. My Dad and I have seen all of them so far. My favourite is either 'The World Is Not Enough' or 'Tomorrow Never Dies'. My Dad likes 'Live and Let Die'. As for my favourite Bond, I'd have to say Peirce. Honestly, I didn't really like Craig. He just didn't have the Bond sauveness that the others had.

You guys were mentioning Bond vs. 24? Thank God I'm not the only crazy one here! The whole time I was watching Casino Royale, I couldn't help but think 'What would Jack do in this situation?' Mind you, I don't think Jack would have the time or the patience for a game of poker. And you're right, I thought interrogations on 24 were bad! I wonder how Jack would have handled that one! In the current 24 Declassified novel I'm reading, they do actually have torture/interrogations similar to that one though. Kinda descriptive and hard to read...

I'm probably the biggest Bond fan on here. I love James Bond in a non-gay way.

Casino Royale

My favorite Bond is Sean Connery without a doubt. That guy is awesome.

Also, did you guys hear of the new Bond movie coming out November 7, titled Quantum of Solace.

It is an awkward name but, it suits the movie well.

"Quantum of Solace is the 22nd spy film in EON Productions' James Bond film series, due for release in the United Kingdom on 31 October 2008.[3] It is the sequel to the 2006 film Casino Royale, which rebooted the series. It is directed by Marc Forster, and features Daniel Craig's second performance as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond. Casino Royale's Paul Haggis, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade returned as writers, alongside newcomer Joshua Zetumer. In the film, Bond battles Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric), a member of the Quantum organisation posing as an environmentalist, who intends to stage a coup d'état in Bolivia to take control of its water supply. Bond seeks revenge for the death of Vesper Lynd, and is assisted by Camille (Olga Kurylenko), who also wants to kill Greene. The title was chosen from an unrelated short story in Ian Fleming's For Your Eyes Only (1960).

Producer Michael G. Wilson created the film's story while Casino Royale was shooting. The film was originally scheduled for a 2 May 2008 release, but it was pushed back to allow more time when Roger Michell dropped out as director. Second unit filming began in August 2007 at Siena and Madrid, before principal photography began in January 2008 at Pinewood Studios. Production designer Dennis Gassner took over from Peter Lamont, who retired after working on eighteen Bond films. He designed the five major Pinewood sets, which stand in for Siena, Bolivia and the MI6 headquarters. Gassner's designs are close to the modernism of Ken Adam, the first Bond production designer. Location filming will take place at Panama, Chile, Italy and Austria, before moving back to Pinewood in June. Who saw the new Bond girl? I'm underwhelmed, I don't think she's attractive at all. The movie though, I can't wait to see! Casino Royal was awesome.

You mean the chick who was in Hitman?

I've said before i don't like her. She doesn't have the Bond girl look at all.
